The Nyn Park Estate in Hertfordshire, was acquired on behalf of a European entrepreneur and, in association with Mervyn Cable, William Montgomery was appointed as project manager to apply for planning permission to build a country house on the site of the original, ruined property. The planning application involved employing Julian Bicknell Associates as architects; specialist firms to advise on strategic planning issues, landscape consultants and a number of environmental consultants to carry out research, surveys and studies on endangered species.
